When McDonald's needed a massive, multi-space activation in Spain, we made it happen - on time, on budget, and without compromising an inch of quality. The logistics were complex, the deadlines tight, but our team thrives on challenges, transforming Barcelona’s Fira into a multi-space activation and creating an epic experience for 14,000 McDonald’s employees and franchisees.
Bearded Kitten brought McDonald’s world of characters to life with a larger-than-life experiential build for the FIFA World Cup. From concept to execution, we handled the entire fabrication and installation process; from design and spray and finish to technical design, creative direction, production and venue logistics.
The experience featured towering entry gateways shaped like McDonald's iconic fries - what else would it be?!
Highlights included Hamburglar’s Hideaway, a safe-themed photo op with hidden passages; Birdie’s Hangar, complete with animated arrivals and a feathered interior; and the Grimace Zone, featuring a 3m-tall jukebox.
The centrepiece, FIFA World Cup Way, invited fans into the action with a 7m soccer goal, stadium-inspired backdrops, and branded bleachers. From the big stuff to the tiny details, everything was designed to capture the essence and nostalgia of McDonald’s and the excitement of the World Cup, creating a space where McDonald’s employees and franchisees could celebrate, play, and engage like never before.
