Alongside creative experience agency, Bearded Kitten, transformed the Dixie Queen into a Wednesday Addams world, fabricating and installing a series of large-scale, gothic set pieces that turned the Outcastaway Cruise into a dark, decadent summer holiday from hell.
Netflix tasked us with designing and fabricating an environment that would bring Wednesday’s outcast energy to London in a way that was bold, theatrical, and structurally robust to withstand 2,000 fans. Every element needed to feel true to the series’ darkly gothic world, while also being safe, functional, and able to withstand the challenges of four live river cruises.
Our team fabricated and installed every hero element of the Outcastaway Cruise. It was a biggun.
We created the Slush & Bone Bar and Crypt Creamery ice cream parlour, designed and built a full performance stage, and fabricated multiple immersive photo opportunities, including a recreation of the iconic Nevermore clock tower and a giant pre-boarding ‘Thing’.
To crown the boat, we craned in a giant illuminated Netflix logo, while pianos were airlifted to the upper deck to set the tone for the Deck of Decay. All scenic pieces were crafted in-house, with full technical drawings, structural calculations, and finishes that balanced gothic detail with durability. From fabrication through to transport, install, and de-rig, we delivered a complete build solution that transformed the Dixie Queen into Wednesday’s vision of a summer holiday from hell.
